Scottsboro City Council Work Session


1) Resolution for Award concerning Mr. James Bailey for his participation and demonstrated abilities at the National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. He was the only individual selected from Alabama that achieved standing in the National Spelling Bee. Mayor Deason awarded the young Mr. Bailey with a Key to the City. 2) Dan Berry, Scottsboro Tennis Association presentation. Plans for 6 additional Tennis courts was discussed. 3) Caroline Starr made presentation concerning purchase request for City Court System of a computer and printer. Total cost of $1311.00 4). Presentation by Mrs. Josephine Smith concerning appearance of the Square. Ms. Smith stated square needs attention. 5) Airport Board resignation, Mr. Lucas Rudder. 6) Discussion concerning upcoming City election and a resolution concerning the election. 7) Airport Taxiway and Thresh-hold Engineering Discussion funding. 8) Soccer Field Discussion and report.
