A nuclear ‘living laboratory’

  1. Please help this cause to stop building new nuclear reactors in Romania! Sign the petition here and pass it on! Thank you! http://www.greenpeace.org/romania/campaigns/nucleare/signthepetition

Romania has currently one nuclear power plant with two functional reactors in Cernavoda (South-East of Romania). Cernavoda is situated in an area with high earthquake risk. The Romanian Government plans to build two more nuclear reactors (Cernavoda 3 and 4 ). These reactors are of an outdated Canadian design, the CANDU 6.

  2. My concern is closer to home in the Tennessee River Valley.

Where is Green Peace in Alabama? There is the dumping of hazardous coal ash in minority communities, poisoning minority communities with Mercury around Mobile and plans to use Plutonium in TVA reactors. I think I'll offer my efforts and concern in the area I live.
