Mr. Mashburn was absent; agenda items 3 and 4, payments
for equipment repair budget amendments for the Street and Sanitation
Department were tabled. 3 citizens spoke
regarding alleged public nuisance issue, 2 citizens expressing
concerns involving neighborhood vacant property appearance due to alleged
neglect. The other issue involved Jackson County Transit Authority, bus service
times.

Glad to see the council at least giving lip service to naming a truck route, once again. They spend $4.9M to provide a route, still do not have one. Several months ago in response to a Facebook post, two council members and the Mayor were to meet about the truck route, last anyone knew, the meeting did not happen. It is taking trucks having problems in the city and complaints from the citizens to spur any action. It is not like this is the councils job or anything. Hard decision to make, sure to have some citizens upset, problems for council members future political plans. Too bad, do you jobs, that is what you wanted to do hen you ran for office.
