Last night was a short work session with no items on the published agenda for business. However there was a presentation to members of Scottsboro's Little League and one citizen presentation concerning First Monday.

55 citizens, mostly proud parents, were present for the ceremony, some of the parents recorded this memorable event.
Garry Morgan made presentation in support of the First Monday Trade Day Event during the sign-up portion of the City Council Meeting. The council was asked to support the event and it was mentioned that the City Coordinator for the event must stop harassing vendors by asking them to remove their vehicles from the parking spaces where they are selling items when the city ordinance allows the vendors with their vehicles to be present from 6PM Friday to 6PM Monday during the Trade Day event. Vendors with their parked vehicles must be selling out of the spot where the vehicle is parked. Confidence was expressed in Mayor Potter's ability to resolve this issue.
After the work session adjourned the Scottsboro Solid Waste authority Board met and approved the expansion and purchase of 12+ acres at the Martintown Landfill. Ms. Carol McCrary was absent from last nights City Council and Solid Waste Authority meeting.
