Scottsboro City Hall (photo by G. Morgan)
There was one agenda item on Monday's city council meeting for discussion. Fireworks costs have risen - A request from Goosepond Colony Manager Lyle Sosby was presented for financial assistance in the amount of $5000 to be utilized for the 4th of July fireworks display. Mr. Sosby also provided information on golf events at the GPC facility. Nice Web Site - http://goosepond.org/
Garry Morgan also addressed the council about an inexpensive means to advertise First Monday and the City of Scottsboro by placing signage with the Scottsboro "Welcome Signs"on major roadways into Scottsboro City Limits. The signs would read, or something similar -
The idea is to direct travelers to the Scottsboro web site at http://www.cityofscottsboro.com so they may realize what we have to offer in Scottsboro, Alabama. Information on 1st Monday Trade Days at http://www.cityofscottsboro.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=42&Itemid=118
