JAMES MADISON QUOTE - 1822

"A popular government without popular information, or the means of acquiring it, is but a Prologue to a Farce or a Tragedy; or, perhaps both. Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power knowledge gives."

Wording in Mayors Poll

My apologies for the wording in the Scottsboro Mayors poll. Ignore the word "as" after the word "for." I noticed after the poll was posted and votes made, which was very rapidly, "as" was still in place and I can't change the poll wording after votes are placed and I do not want to cancel the poll. There are 3 choices in the poll for your choice as Mayor for Scottsboro, Mr. Deason, Mr. Potter and none of the above.
