Censorship of Scottsboro historical information by Scottsboro Face Book Groups, where the name of Scottsboro is utilized and information concerning race relations and questions about public involvement have been posted, then censored, along with the removal of participation in the groups.

 

Pupose of my involvement on the Scottsboro Face Book sites described: 1) To determine the site's purpose and affect on the City of Scottsboro and assess racial attitudes toward minorities, people of color and the poor in Scottsboro, Alabama. 2) To determine the purpose of the Revive Scottsboro site and discover if the City of Scottsboro is involved, who is involved and exactly what are they attempting to revive in Scottsboro.

 

The following stories of historical facts were posted, the end result was censorship and banning of the writer, me, from two sites which pertain to Scottsboro, Alabama and where the political entity's name is utilized.

 While posting the above articles I was massively, verbally attacked by site members in what can be called a mob mentality of delusion and hatred, in my opinion as a Department of Defense Race Relation Equal Opportunity Specialist, Retired. 

 

The Story: Censors of local history close ranks and public input on Face Book (FB) Scottsboro History site. Examples: "You know you are from the 'boro, If you remember..." 1) August 16, 2014 Pat Patterson -group administrator - "If you're from Scottsboro, here's a place to see who remembers what... from back in the day. This is intended to be a nostalgic page to allow folks to reminisce. Please, keep it light. No advertising of any kind, no political or religious discussion. Not looking for controversy or debate. Basically, just play nice. This is not intended to be a "historical" account or record. Enjoy!" 2) Pat Patterson, group administrator changed the groups privacy settings from Public to Closed. The group header contains a picture of the old Scottsboro Freight Depot.

 UPDATE - At 12:30 PM August 16, 2014 I have been censored and blocked from the FB "You know you are from the 'boro, If you remember..." Mr. Pat Patterson, site administrator, has been given an opportunity for a press interview, he has declined. Since I have been censored, I take it my postings have also been censored-removed.

These events began with the questioning of the purpose of the "Revive Scottsboro" site and remembering of incidents concerning racial discrimination, murder and the head of Andy Jackson being knocked off by a drunk on the square; which includes the subsequent report that the statuary was intended to be constructed of stone, but it was discovered that it was concrete and chicken wire when Old Hickory was decapitated. Mrs. Ann Chambliss did not agree with the report that "Ole Hickory" was supposed to be made of stone and stated, "... the Historical Association commissioned the Chicken Wire and Cement statue as we could not afford the stone one." Others attempted to "goad" me as to my source, which I would not reveal, except to say, "they are very reliable and have posted on this site."

 

At approximately 2:30 PM today, August 16, 2014 - the site administrator of the "You know you are from the 'boro, If you remember..."  has stated he intends on closing the site. After I asked of him if my postings had been removed as I was removed from posting on the site. He said, "it takes a considerable amount of time to delete 2800 members, one at a time."

 The postings of the "Old Hickory" decapitation event, and the postings regarding historical incidents of racial discrimination and other postings relating to history which did not conform to the Face Book site members idea of history, resulted in numerous personal attacks pointed personally at me and now includes censorship and banning from the site for discussion of historical facts and asking questions about purpose of the sites.

This is not the first time personal attacks have occurred, to include threats of murder, harassing communications and terrorist threats pointed at the Scottsboro Boys Museum, stating - "We will burn it down when you get it built." These threats originated on the anonymous Al.Com Scottsboro Forum. Police reports were filed to include a visit to the District Attorney's office but no action was taken to correct the obvious criminal activity.

The problem are groups utilizing the Scottsboro name and pretending to be either a history site, or a site to "Revive Scottsboro." I was removed from the "Revive Scottsboro" site when I questioned why the city was not involved, why problem solving was not implemented for improvements, and why the group was not inclusive of all citizens. Mrs. Ann Chambliss removed me from that site after she warned, "if there was one more negative comment, you will be removed." There was also a reminder that questioning the group leadership or comments about the "Revive Scottsboro" site would not be tolerated.  The so called negative comment was, why wasn't the city of Scottsboro involved and all of the citizens, since the site involves the revival of the downtown Scottsboro area. 

 

Corporate Censorship by News Media

Censorship has been witnessed locally at Scottsboro's Daily Sentinel when writting on issues involving Scottsboro's City Personnel System ratings for city employees and the City's Mayor's Office historical responsibility for failing to improve the system.

Then, there are the so called public forums managed by Advance Digital, such as Al.Com's Scottsboro forum, where political corporate censors have successfully removed any and all political speech which does not support the current powers that be. 2 agent provocateurs utilized over 50 names for 7 years, and they are still there.  Al.Com's news media outlet's forums have been utilized to to convey personal threats, terrorist threats and defamation. Police reports were filed concerning terrorist threats and harassing communications. Local law enforcement and the DA's office failed to investigate. This type of political censorship by corporate news media is very bothersome; considering their responsibility to keep the citizenry informed.

Cyber Attacks, Censorship, Programming Error or Protocol Failure - I'm Back, Intermittently After 6 Days of Being Taken Down

After 6 days of being taken off line, I'm back. Was it censorship, a collapse of Google Blogger due to technical difficulties or cyber warfare. Google maintains it was an error on their part, technical difficulties in a new code that had been created at Google to improve the service. Does it matter, the results of no information or a loss of the ability to disseminate information is the same? Yes it does matter. Unfortunately, we are treated as mushrooms all to often - feed crap and kept in the dark.

Protocols, in the illustration above, are one of the excuses utilized for censorship. In this case, programming and institutional protocol failures of Google. Is that the problem?

Here is the time line for the "Broken Blog Message," error code bX-3d5g2z - Monday morning early,1AM, Feb 17, 2014 off line; this lasted until Friday Morning the 21st of Feb., back on line; Saturday, Feb. 22nd off line; now Sunday morning Feb 23, 2014 back on line.

HTTP CODE ERROR?

“HTTP Status Code 505" Three main reasons for a 505 Error: 1. The request you are sending to the server from the client browser, it is not in the form which can be understand by the server. 2. A third-party product is interfering with Internet Explorer. 3. For some reason it seemed Google could not figure out the fix, at least for 6 days. The question now is, will this continue and are the failures actually cyber attacks?

HTML code failure - maybe, 6 days off and on?  At first there were 5 blogs that reported the same "Broken Blog Message." After the 4th day the failures spread until it involved a large segment of Google Bloggers but not affecting all blogs. (There is the appearance that this was or is an intentional attack on Google's Blogs, it has affected blogs where there is a discussion of government in some way or fashion.) The failure rate grew and grew. How long will this intermittent problem last, who knows. Google says, be patient our engineers are working on the problem. I say, yea right; whether programming/protocol failures, censorship or cyber attack the results are the same. Censorship is nothing new. When I discussed the censorship topic on the Google "Product Forums" where postings were made about what was going on, my postings were removed. Is there something else involved in this failure? The U.S. intelligence community created Stuxnet, now the criminals and enemies of the U.S. have back engineered the attack and circumvented security protocols, This spells big trouble for the internet and all of us. Internet censorship concerning political issues - a serious problem for al.com forum editors,  has once again grown out of control on the Al.com Scottsboro Forum ( http://www.al.com/forums/scottsboro/index.ssf?initial=true ). All postings on the Al.com Scottsboro Forum relating to Scottsboro and political issues have been removed - except todays questioning, what has happened to Scootsboro issues? Any discussion about Scottsboro was removed,  remaining - a majority of postings bashing President Obama.

This used to be a problem a few years back. It was the reason this blog was formed in 2007.  Currently the "Al.com" Scottsboro forum has an infestation of racist, right wing extremist posters. I have removed the forum link from this blog's forum listings in the right hand column. "Al.com" has always been susceptible to political censorship. Currently there is an attempt to control the forum by the right wing extremists of the Republican Party. Previous control attempts were made by the Democrat Party extremists. Seems neither can stand the truth and "Al.com" forum editors allow themselves to be controlled like political puppets.

It becomes obvious the management of Al.com cares naught about responsible speech, or editorial standards on a so called "open forum." Al.com's actions support political censorship and right-wing extremism. When I complained about threats, racist comments, cursed out and slandered on the forum, the forum editorial management removed the offending postings, but also removed all my postings while allowing the offenders postings, mostly bashing our current President, to remain. Velcum to zee neu Republikan socialist repression.

CAN POLITICAL CENSORSHIP BE PURCHASED? 

Al.com's parent organization is Advance Internet,  part of Advance Publications. The largest privately owned media organization in the U.S., supporting forum censorship. A SAD STATE OF MEDIA AFFAIRS. Media giant supports fascist ideology.

Once more draconian media editors of Advance Internets "al.com's" Scottsboro Forum removes my posts and forum account. Below you will find the latest example of draconian editing. This is an exact copy of the post that resulted in my ban. This post was listed after attacks on posters supporting our Democrat President and the idea of Classical Liberalism. Criminal threats by the extremist have also been made. I have been banned from posting while extremist posters making threats remain, it would seem the extremists are encouraged to express ideology supporting hate speech and racism.

The editorial nazis found it necessary to censor, remove all forum postings by zz99aa. All the postings removed were related to equal opportunity, ending of institutional and personal racism, nuclear power risks and non-support of nuclear power. Also removed were facts gathered regarding individuals within the forum which have threatned people and have rendered terrorist threats condoned by the forums management. Removed were the connections between right wing extremist groups, the Republican Party and the forums editorial process. Removed are plans to close the Huntsville Times Northeast Alabama office, excessive liberal news is more than the rightwingers can stand??

It is impossible to have any type of open political discussion on al.com's forums due to intentional political censorship of topics. This has been a ongoing issue with Advance Publications, owner of the Huntsville Times, Birmingham News and "al.com." Allowing a political party and government officials to influence their content to the point of censorship of political topics demonstrates the tyrany of Alabama politics and unethical editorial practices of the previous mentioned media outlets.

Intellectual Property and Authoritarian Media Corporate Tyranny in Discussion Forums

For 1 year now this blog has been in place. The reason the blog was created was and is to inform the citizens of Scottsboro Alabama of a different political picture of the world around them and to demonstrate the extent of political censorship that is occurring at the hands of local formal media and politicians. It has became obvious to some and not so obvious to others that the media and some politicians do not want alternative ideas which do not agree with their individual political platform and plans. In the private media's so called discussion forums they will not allow discussion of alternative ideas of responsible opposing political speech and opposing view points to important issues before the community. I believe the removal of my speech and the "banning" of my accounts and that of others accounts on al.com had a purpose, that purpose was politically motivated so as not to allow the opposing side of an issue to be discussed.

When there is an attempt to discuss alternatives and present alternatives outside the small group of political party insiders by utilizing available media tools, access to the tools are removed, while allowing attacks against Democrat opposition and slanting reports favoring one position which the local Democrat Party supports or supportive of an individual politician. In some cases it has been at the behest of government officials, they done it once they will do it again. This is the 11th instance of political censorship, which I'm aware, that has resulted in the removal of citizens accounts that were discussing topics of a political nature and not in violation of al.com's forum policy.
